The Flying Mullet

Any truth to the story doing the rounds that Olympic cyclist Shane Archbold was denied entry into Bar Luca on Saturday night because the bouncers thought he was a skin head?

This was only a few hours after the ”Flying Mullet”, seventh at the London Olympics in the omnium, had raised $10,000 for the Child Cancer Foundation in exchange for cutting his trademark locks.

Archbold had been inspired after meeting 15-year-old cancer survivor Tim Leonard at a club cycling meet after coming home from London. In  a sport which rewards selfishness, Novie’s fundraising was an outstanding performance. But not good enough to get him through the door at Bar Luca, apparently.
